This is a horrible picture, but there’s a great story behind it. I’ve been watching this elderly couple for a few months now and this never fails to make me tear up. A couple times a week this couple comes to the local diary queen for lunch, same time each time. The old man is frail and hobbles around with some difficulty, but carefully and obviously lovingly helps her into the wheelchair seeing as she can’t move much on her own. They enjoy their lunch for about an hour, then they walk out and he does the same thing and EVERY TIME he gives her a quick kiss on the cheek before he shuts the door. She smiles like a young child in love and I just can’t help but feel so happy and lucky I get to see love in it’s purest form.
